The distance between Dutch people and refugees is increasing. The image we have about each other is disturbed by what we see or hear on radio, newspaper and TV or by political cries with large amounts of sentiment. The prejudices we have about each other are fed with it. This makes it difficult to understand each other and stands in the way of mutual contact. We have many assumptions about foreigners. But what do we actually know about each other's way of looking?
Point of View participants meet every two weeks to discuss their seflmade photos. What makes you feel at home somewhere or what is so dear to you that you would keep it under your pillow to protect it?
